New New Coke mini is over 35 % healthier!!!!

Coca Cola has drastically reshaped the way the way we will think about Coca Cola in terms of ‘health’ with their new Coke mini, which is over 35% healthier than its older, bigger toxic substance.

Seriously just read the ad, it is hailed as a “90-calorie portion-control mini-cans.”  This does not actually mean it is healthier, just less crap in a smaller can (7.5 ounces). It’s good that Coca Cola is worried about rationing our intake of what was 100% of our daily intake of sugar, which taste good and not too sweet because of phosphoric acids.  By the way, a great article from a  nurse about what happens when your body drinks a can of ‘the real thing’.

Back to the topic at hand, from a consumer point-of-view this new  can deal actually really sucks, because the prices are nearly 50% and higher per ounce than the 12 ounce original. The guilt, though, by those who read the above linked article and STILL drink it every morning, afternoon and evening is less. After all, 3 cans of the mini are less than 2 cans of the old stuff. That way of thinking, Coca Cola addicts, mean you’ve got a problem.

Coca Cola released this statement regarding their new marketing gimmickry:

“As the world’s largest beverage company, we take seriously the need to help consumers balance calories consumed with calories expended,” said Sandy Douglas, president, Coca-Cola North America. “The Coca-Cola mini can innovation reinforces the Company’s support for healthy, active lifestyles.”

In a previous entry, I bashed LeBron James for sponsoring McDonalds. Well, he is also a Coke sponsor. I’m sure Coke helps dying people, or something, so we can forgive them just like McD helps poor kids but enough with the insanity.
